This is a fascinating tour starting from your hotel in Athens towards central Greece passing from Thermpolyae (Hot Gates) where we can take a short break at the statue of King Leonidas of Ancient Sparta, famous for his campaign against the Persian army with 300 soldiers. We will then proceed towards the towns of Lamia, Trikala and Kalabaka, a small town built by the Majestic rocks of the Meteora monasteries as seen on the James Bond movie (For your eyes only). Then the National Palace, National Gardens, Greek Parliament where we see the changing of the guards dressed in their traditional uniforms. We will continue towards Sounion driving along the coastal road of Athens which has a most spectacular view of the Saronic Gulf, and some of the best swimming beaches in the Athens metropolitan area such as Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Lagonisi, Anavissos and Sounio.

In Sounion you will see the temple of Poseidon built in 444 BBC, which is believed to be the home of Poseidon the sea God. The location offers one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the Aegean sea. From the site of the temple you can see several Islands of the Aegean and Saronic gulf.
